Mammogram enhancement using wavelets



We try to enhance the mammogram images using the algorithm described in J. Fan and A. Laine, Multiscale Contrast Enhancement and Denoising in Digital Radiographs, in Wavelets in Medicine and Biology, editors A.Aldroubi & M. Unser, 163-189, 1996 CRC Press. We have done several experiments on both 1D and 2D data.
 

1D data - artificial signal, differen amount of added noise
