Visual perception, cognitive neuroscience, psychophysics, and computational modelling.
An international workshop on active exploration, multisensory perception, intelligent systems, and the way humans and machines learn through movement, interaction, and experience.
Foraging for Information: Dynamics of Exploratory Movements and Perception is organized within the Horizon Europe MSCA Doctoral Network EXPLORA – Perception of Materials, Objects and Spaces through Active Exploration.
The workshop brings together researchers, doctoral students, and practitioners interested in how active exploration shapes perception of materials, objects, and spaces. Although organized within the EXPLORA network, the workshop is open to submissions from the wider international community.

Authors of accepted abstracts who do not wish to submit a full or short paper may still present their work as a poster at the workshop. No proceedings paper is required for this participation option.
All accepted full and short papers will be included in the workshop proceedings. The proceedings will be published in Springer series Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) . Springer submits CCIS proceedings for indexing in all major databases, including SCOPUS, Google Scholar, DBLP, JST, INSPEC, SCImago, zbMATH. Published papers will be available electronically through SpringerLink, with individually assigned DOIs. Make sure to prepare your paper following author instructions using LaTeX or MS Word templates.
Submissions will be managed through EasyChair in two stages.
Abstract registration: Authors should first register their contribution by providing the paper title, authors, keywords, and a short abstract (length maximum 300 words) through EasyChair by the abstract registration deadline. No full manuscript is required at this stage.
Paper submission: Authors of accepted abstracts are invited to
submit a full or short paper to the same EasyChair submission by the
paper submission deadline. Alternatively, authors may present their
accepted contribution as a poster without submitting a proceedings paper.
