As some participants may prefer to stay in a hotel in the centre of the city, you are welcome to make your own arrangements. For this purpose we are providing you with some contact addresses where you can make bookings.
For those, who would prefer us to help them with the accommodation, we prepared a short list of accommodation available in the northern suburb of Prague, where the Institute of Information Theory and Automation is located. Upon receiving the accommodation form with your preferences, we shall try to arrange a preliminary reservation for you and will give you telephone and fax connections with the information about the deposit payment expected from you to be made to the particular hotel.
All the accommodation advertised here is at rather quiet nothern subur b of Prague, either within a walking distance from the workshop venue (Hote l MAZANKA), or 5-10 minutes by a tram and then a few minutes walk. Dista nce from the city centre about 25 minutes (tram or bus + metro). For your information - the Worksho venue address is: Prague 8, Pod vodarenskou vezi 4 We have managed to have pre-booking in MAZANKA hotel for 15 single roo ms and 12 double rooms. The number of rooms available at the moment in each o f the other specified hotels is very limited - they are rather small "family " hotels, though very nice.
MAZANKA hotel: The only one within a walking distance from the Worksho p venue (about 250 m). Hotel belonging to the Czech Academy of Sciences, limited number of beds available. There are accommodation units consisting of one double and one single room with a small common hall in which two WC and bathrooms (with shower) separately for each room are located. We have 15 single rooms and 12 double rooms available for the Workshop. Parking in front of the hotel. Breakfast available, but not included in the room price(continental breakfast about 1 USD, "Eng lish" breakfast about 2 USD).
Pension LUCIE: single and double rooms equipped with private bathrooms and WC, breakfast included in the room price, TV set, parking.
Hotel EXCELLENT: single and double rooms equipped with private bathroo ms and WC, breakfast included in the price, satellite TV, minibar, parking-lo t, fax, breakfast included in the room price.
Hotel STIRKA: in a villa area, newly furnished double rooms with own bathroom (shower or bath), sattelite TV, telephone with direct dial abroad, hotel garage, breakfast included in the room price.
Hotel HENRIETTA: comfortable double rooms with private shower and WC, satellite TV, fax, breakfast included in the price.

The reservations will be made on the "first to come first to serve" basis. However, though every effort will be made to try to meet your requirements, we cannot guarantee the availability of all the advertised hotels or pensions as they require some deposit prior to booking the room. This is the reason for asking you to write down three options with the order of preference. We strongly recommend you to let us know as soon as possible so that we can start making the preliminary reservations for you. When this preliminary reservation will be made on your behalf, you will be then asked to arrange the deposit payment with the particular hotel yourself.
